Five students from ºÚÁÏÉç at Geauga distinguished themselves as writing award winners during Spring Semester 2020. Each was a student of Bonnie Shaker, Ph.D., assistant professor of English. While ºÚÁÏÉç Geauga students have won a total of 16 awards from 2014 through 2020 in different categories, five winners in one year is a notable achievement. Carmen Roberts III, a senior budget analyst for the University Budget Office, told WKBN how his family memorialized their late grandfather, a longtime Cleveland Indians fan. Cleveland baseball fans are unable to attend Indians games this season due to COVID-19; however, that did not stop the Indians from giving fans a way to be "in the ballpark" this season.
