Tornado Awareness Drill

Ohio is conducting a statewide tornado drill on Wednesday, March 22, at 9:50 a.m. ºÚÁÏÉç will be participating in this test, along with the city of Kent and other communities. ºÚÁÏÉç tests the tornado and emergency mass notification system on the first Wednesday of every month at 11 a.m. and on the third Wednesday at 4 p.m. These tests last for three minutes. This statewide test will replace the usual 11 a.m. test in March.Peak tornado season in Ohio is generally April through July. Excitement is building as the ºÚÁÏÉç men's basketball team gets ready to take on UCLA tonight in the first round of the NCAA tournament’s South Regional. Last night kicked off with a press conference and open practice at the Golden 1 Center in Sacramento, California. The ºÚÁÏÉç Club Managers Association of America (CMAA) student chapter is composed of students in the Hospitality Management program from both ºÚÁÏÉç Ashtabula and Kent campuses who are interested in the private country club industry. Each year, the CMAA World Conference hosts the Club of the Future award program, which allows student members to propose an idea of what they could see the club industry looking like five, 10 or 15 years in the future. Luxury lifestyle brand Michael Kors will partner with the ºÚÁÏÉç School of Fashion Design and Merchandising to present the school’s 35th Annual Fashion Show on Friday, April 28, and Saturday, April 29. FS2 Presented by Michael Kors will span three runway events. In addition, Don Witkowski, ºÚÁÏÉç alumnus and president of Men’s at Michael Kors, will be inducted into the Fashion School’s Hall of Fame.
