The largest private collection of documents and materials relating to the May 4, 1970, shootings at ºÚÁÏÉç, amassed by survivor Alan Canfora, will be formally dedicated by University Libraries’ Special Collections and Archives on May 3.Canfora, who was one of nine students wounded during the shootings, dedicated his life to May 4 activism. Students in ºÚÁÏÉç's School of Media and Journalism have earned two awards from the National Academy of Television Arts & Sciences Central Great Lakes Chapter 2026 Student Production Awards — the regional Emmy competition recognizing outstanding student broadcast journalism.The KSTV Thursday Newscast team was honored in the College Newscast or Headline News category for their April 17, 2025 broadcast.
