Current Liberation Learners Projects
The 2025–2026 Liberation Learners cohort sparked meaningful shifts in conversation, stigma, and understanding through their Civic Engagement projects. Focusing on human rights, global conflict, and education, students explored issues that resonated with them both personally and within society. From these interests, they took intentional steps to raise awareness efforts that may serve as the foundation for future campaigns for change. This cohort brought together students from four schools across multiple districts and counties: Akron Public Schools in Summit County, Kent Roosevelt in Portage County, Shaker Heights in Cuyahoga County, and Solon High School in Cuyahoga County.
Past Liberation Learners Projects
2024-25 Liberation Learners at ºÚÁÏÉç worked on two projects: bullying in the schools and test anxiety among high school students. Liberation Learners plan to first generate surveys of their peers to understand the problem’s scope. They then plan on meeting with school leaders to spread awareness and implement strategies for improvement.
