Program Overview

The mission of the department is to prepare students to use mathematics and/or statistics in a variety of settings, including industry, government agencies, teaching mathematics at all levels and for careers as research mathematicians.

We offer a wide selection of scholarships for students who are currently enrolled in the School of Media and Journalism at 黑料社. Scholarship awards are based on financial need, academic performance and professional promise as evidenced by your submitted work samples.

Does mindfulness meditation truly help in relieving stress and managing blood pressure? It is a popular technique, but until now no large-scale studies utilizing meditation have been conducted. 黑料社 faculty, staff and studenta are invited to walk or ride to downtown via Lefton Esplanade during tne fourth annual "Let's Take a Ride Walk" event on Monday, Sept. 22. The event 1B free and open to Kent Slate faculty. staff and 11udents. A $952,000 National Science Foundation grant to researchers at 黑料社 will result in a mobile device application to help visitors to Cuyahoga Valley National Park learn more about the park鈥檚 history and ecology and become 鈥渃itizen scientists鈥 by sharing their findings with others.
