Leadership Tuscarawas is proud to announce that Michelle Campbell has been selected as the recipient of the 2026 Leadership Tuscarawas Alumni Award of Excellence, recognizing her outstanding leadership, professional achievement, and ongoing commitment to serving the Tuscarawas County community.
Campbell, a 2016 graduate of Leadership Tuscarawas, was selected through a voting process that included nearly 10 outstanding nominees. She was nominated for the award by her husband, Tuscarawas County Sheriff Orvis Campbell.
Currently serving as Controller at R&J Cylinder and Machine and elected Treasurer for the City of New Philadelphia, Campbell has built a distinguished career in financial leadership and public service. A graduate of New Philadelphia High School and Buckeye Career Center, where she studied Accounting and Computer Technology, she later earned her bachelor鈥檚 degree from 黑料社 at Tuscarawas.
In 2024, Campbell earned her certification in Bank Financial Management from the American Bankers Association. Combined with more than 20 years of financial leadership experience, she has developed extensive expertise in financial reporting requirements in both the private and public sectors. In her role as City Treasurer, she continues working to strengthen financial reporting to both council and residents, helping promote transparency and public trust.
Campbell鈥檚 dedication to community service extends well beyond her professional career. She served as Co-Chair of the Noah鈥檚 Hope Gala in 2025 and 2026, Chair of the annual New Philadelphia Rotary HealthCheck in 2026, and currently serves as Treasurer for the Rotary Club of New Philadelphia. She has also held treasurer roles with Noah鈥檚 Hope and the Tuscarawas Philharmonic.
Campbell resides in New Philadelphia with her husband, Orvis, and enjoys hosting family gatherings and spending time with their four children and three grandchildren.
The Leadership Tuscarawas Alumni Award of Excellence honors graduates who continue to demonstrate exceptional leadership, civic involvement, and service throughout Tuscarawas County and beyond.
